The GIC will unfortunately have to shut down by end of day next Monday, March 23 until further notice.
During the shutdown:
- Study spaces, textbooks, maps, air photos will be unavailable
- No air photo searches or shipments will be performed
- Cheque and credit card payments will not be processed
- Phone calls and voicemails will not be answered
- Mail and courier deliveries will not be received
- Staff will have access to email – gic [at] geog [dot] ubc [dot] ca
For our commercial clients: If you have borrowed photos from us please hold onto them for the time being. No late fees will incur during the shutdown.

At this point it is unclear when we will reopen – we will provide you with further updates as the situation evolves.
